With Intermountain Health our MRI Technologists are responsible for performing MRI examinations under the direction of a physician to assist in the medical diagnosis or treatment of our patients. Job Essentials:
- Understand MRI safety concepts and executes them diligently and consistently to maintain magnet safety for patients, guests, self, and fellow caregivers.
- Understand MRI scanning parameters and, in coordination with the radiologist, selects appropriate technical parameters and scanning techniques to ensure clinical exams are of good quality.
- Ensure proper patient identification, order identification, and prepares the patient appropriately for the exam.
- Perform MRI examinations according to system and department standard protocols.
- Understands cross sectional anatomy and demonstrates appropriate anatomical positioning and multiplanar image reconstruction.
- Under the direction of the radiologist or supervising clinician, performs contrast and medication administration inherent to MRI examination,
- Maintain competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job. Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
- -or- ARRT(R) certification with at least 1 year full-time experience in MRI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in MRI or Advanced Radiologic Science Physical Requirements:
