This position is located in Roy, UT.What You'll Get To Do:
- People leadership for a Minuteman III ICBM Sustainment mechanical engineering organization, to include performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
- Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group.
- Provide ownership of and direction to the processes used by the group.
- Create a vision for an engineering team and work to make that vision a reality.
- Provide proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers.
- Support department initiatives, recruiting, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership.
- Lead a diverse team of engineers performing project development, technical requirements review, system support, planning and sustainment for a diverse set of products in the missile, air and space domains.
- Responsible for the strategic implementation of skills and labor mix; employee development; mentoring; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant technical matters requiring coordination between organizations to ensure successful task completion and customer satisfaction.
- Responsibilities also include horizontal integration of best practices across the organization; maintaining cognizance over technical activities; and ensuring execution of project statement of work and baselines.Job Qualifications:You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with 6 years of experience; or Master's degree with 4 years of experience; or PhD with 2 years of experience.
- At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
- 3 years of hands-on experience supporting modernization, maintenance, design and analysis of mechanical systems.
- 3 years of ICBM Sustainment experience.
- 1 year of experience providing technical leadership of an engineering team.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
