Job Summary WebBank is looking for an Accounting Analyst to join the Finance Team. The Accounting Analyst performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus on General Ledger accounting. This position is also responsible for supporting the Controller in conducting key activities such as Month-End and Quarter-End close, Fixed Assets, Account Reconciliations and Audits. The Accounting Analyst will report to the Accounting Manager. Primary Responsibilities (Job Duties) You Will: - Prepare monthly and daily journal entries such as Cash, Prepaids, Depreciation & Amortization, Expense Allocations & Revenue.
- Assist with Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Assist with Balance Sheet preparation and Monthly Account reconciliations.
- Maintain and update Fixed Assets.
- Review cash deposits and prepare cash receipt journal entries.
- File and maintain all journal entries for internal and audit purposes.
- Assist in automating processes and procedures.
- Assist with financial audits.
- Assist with preparation of monthly Accounting and ALCO reports.
- Backup Senior Accountant with duties.
- Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
Qualifications You Have: - 1-3 years of professional accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices
- Solid computer skills with Microsoft Office software
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Knowledge and proficiency of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with regards to financial reporting for a public company
Even Better: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Lease Accounting/Contract Abstraction
- Previous general ledger accounting experience
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
