At Dailey Precast, LLC, a subsidiary of Peckham Industries, Inc., we are looking for someone who is excited to learn about the Precast industry through training, feedback, and a hands-on experience: Dailey Precast, LLC, specializes in the design and manufacturing of quality precast/prestressed concrete products. Our projects include parking structures, building exteriors, bridges, sports stadiums and retaining walls throughout Metro New York/New Jersey, Upstate New York, and New England. Dailey Precast is utilizing the very latest technologies. Job Summary:The primary responsibility of the Assistant Production Manager of Pre-Production is to strategically plan and organize daily operations to optimize manufacturing efficiency and drive the success of Dailey Precast, LLC. This role focuses on fostering a culture of continuous improvement in safety and quality while supervising a team of pre-production and material handling crew members. The Assistant Production Manager will ensure consistent production of high-quality products that meet established standards, customer specifications, and production goals.Essential Functions: 1.Dedication. Set daily Pre-Production crew work hours to accomplish goals set forth in the production schedule. Use input and feedback from Plant Manager to help set hours that result in the highest production efficiency throughout the Plant.2.Mastery. Review daily production schedule as a part of the management team to ensure pre-production schedule meets the needs of the assembly and pour schedule throughout the day to allow for any adjustments that need to be made.3.Ownership and caring. Collaborate with crew leaders in the Weld Shop, Fabrication Shop, Rebar Shop, and Material Handling throughout the day to address their operational needs, minimizing production disruptions and reducing unnecessary travel for crew members.4.Results matter. Facilitate the accurate packing and shipping of Connex Boxes to Job Sites with Design and Delivery Departments. 5.Committed to serve. Conduct regular reviews of pre-production material quality with crew leaders, ensuring timely follow-through on any necessary corrective actions.6.Communicate. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to establish and maintain inventory control for pre-production materials, ensuring minimized waste and loss.7.Protect family and friends. Ensure strict adherence to Company Safety Policies and Procedures and actively participate in the companys safety program. As part of the management team, promote and enforce safe working practices across all areas of operations.8.Our word is our bond. Ensure the manufactured product meets all company and industry standards and customer specifications.9.Transparency and learning. Supervise, train, and guide team members to achieve high productivity and technical integrity while preparing, implementing, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures within the Production Department. Requirements, Education and Experience:1. In-depth knowledge of industry products and production methods, specifically in precast/prestressed concrete.2. Proven experience in training and development.3. Strong management and leadership background.4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Forms.5. Experience with ERP production and scheduling systems.6. Demonstrated skills in leadership, problem-solving, creativity, strategic thinking, and fostering cooperation and teamwork.7. Commitment to cultivating a positive workplace culture.8. Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and with employees at all levels.9.
