We are the heart and science of medicine. - We are UVM Medical Center. External candidates are -eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $5,000 (prorated for part time roles). The bonus will be paid out as a $2,500 pay adjustment in the first paycheck following the completion of a successful, 90-day orientation; the second installment of $2,500 will be paid upon completion of 6 months (1040 hours/prorated for part time) of satisfactory service in the department hired into. This requires a one-year commitment. We are seeking a clinical psychologist with a strong interest and background in health psychology and behavioral sleep management. The incoming psychologist will join a vibrant and robust sleep program and will collaborate with sleep specialists to provide assessment and intervention for patients referred to the Sleep Program. This psychologist will join an expanding department of clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychometrists, mental health clinicians and trainees.The Department of Psychological Services at UVMMC is especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated background in multicultural psychology and can contribute to the diversity, equity and inclusion in the department, organization and network. We request that all applicants include information in their cover letter about how they will further this aim.JOB DESCRIPTION:Provides psychological services to patients seen in a multidisciplinary sleep program within the Neurology Health Care Service of an academic medical center. We receive referrals for people of all ages. The incoming psychologist will serve a primarily or exclusively adult patient population unless they possess child training and would prefer to serve patients across the lifespan. Services include program development, diagnostic evaluation, psychological intervention, and staff consultation. - -The successful candidate may provide clinical supervision and training with Psychology residents, postdoctoral fellows and medical residents and students.EDUCATION:Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from APA accredited program. - Completion of internship from APA accredited program. - Completion of at least 1 year of postdoctoral training in a health psychology or hospital setting is preferred.EXPERIENCE: |
