OverviewThe HRIS Specialist is responsible for processing personnel action requests, ensuring data accuracy, and verifying the quality and integrity of personnel actions submitted by HR field staff and other requestors. This role plays a key part for the Department of Human Resources (DHR), assisting with the identification of training needs for field staff, as well as developing and delivering relevant training programs to enhance system proficiency. The Specialist will support the validation of HCM (Human Capital Management) system entries made by end users, ensuring data completeness and accuracy. They will also leverage custom reports for auditing purposes and to meet the reporting needs of both management and staff. In collaboration with a team, this role will assist in the documentation, and implementation of HCM procedures and policies to provide clear and consistent guidelines for system users. Additionally, the Specialist will participate in system maintenance and upgrade activities, including planning, testing, and implementing new or modified system features and enhancements. The role involves providing ongoing problem resolution, and support for both standard new collectively bargained, State and Federal changes around employee compensation, status and position data detail.Who May ApplyThis position, HRIS Specialist (Job Requisition #51429), is open to all State employees and external applicants.
