You will operate as a trusted advisor for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. You will specialize in a particular subject area, but your input and impact will be sought and expected throughout the organization.The Distinguished Engineer will be a part of the Cloud Safety organization leading modernization efforts while establishing and driving best practices for cloud governance and cloud maturity. As a Distinguished Engineer, you will provide technical and architectural leadership for our Cloud Safety - platforms that are driving maturity and governance across all infrastructure, evaluating 5+ million cloud resources for policy compliance in near real-time. You will design our platforms to scale and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. - Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions
- Ensure the quality of technical design and implementation
- Serve as an authoritative expert on non-functional system characteristics, such as performance, scalability and operability

- Leverage deep technical expertise in software architecture patterns, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern technology stacks
- Lead the design, development, and architecture of complex, scalable software systems across multiple platforms.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, guiding them in adopting best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends in software engineering, and ensure our platforms remain cutting-edge.
- Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
- Set high standards for software development processes, including code quality, testing, and deployment practices.
- Conduct technical reviews of design, architecture, and code to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
- Translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersBasic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and architecture with use of programming languages (Java, Python, C++, Go)
- At least 7 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns
- At least 5 years of experience with Web technologies (React, TypeScript)
- At least 5 years of experience with public cloud providers (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) -Preferred Qualifications: -
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
