About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President for Philanthropy and Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic stewardship to ensure the future growth and success of the organization. This role is pivotal in building and nurturing relationships with both established stakeholders and new prospective donors. The Vice President will serve as the primary storyteller, creating strategic partnerships, and will be highly mobile within the community, all while utilizing the theology of stewardship to connect the local congregation with the foundation.Applicants for the Vice President position should be strategic leaders with a proven track record in fundraising, fostering innovation, and managing large-scale development projects. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a cohesive development strategy, strengthening and expanding partnerships in mission, and seeking new sources of revenue to support local ministry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), a minimum of 5 years experience in fundraising and development, and a deep understanding of the non-profit sector. Excellent communication, collaboration, and community engagement skills are essential, as is a working knowledge of the United Methodist Church. The role requires a candidate who can equip local congregations and ministry leaders to secure funding and who is adept at facilitating connections and resources to support the mission of the foundation.
