Job Details for GED Instructor:

• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:30AM-5PM
• Pay Rate: $20/hr
• Health Benefits and Wellness Program Job Responsibilities for GED Instructor:
  • Design and implement instructional activities for a cohort of adult learners preparing for GED, CRC, digital literacy, and industry certification
  • Conduct assessments in line with vendor guidelines and VADOE policies
  • Collaborate with community college staff to develop a contextualized curriculum
  • Create program timelines and weekly schedules to encourage learner persistence and guide capstone projects
  • Keep accurate data and records in the VADOE Adult Student Profile Document (ASPD) and participate in staff meetings and development activities GED Instructor Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
    • Teaching experience, with a preference for experience with adult learners
    • Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
