Mid-Atlantic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional service for heavy diesel equipment.     • Proven track record as a Service Manager or in a similar role within the heavy equipment or diesel service industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of heavy diesel equipment, repair processes, and maintenance best practices.
    • CDL Class A or B preferred; candidates must be eligible to obtain a valid CDL and be able to acquire it within six months.
    • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities to inspire, manage, and grow a diverse team.
    • Strong capability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
    • Proficient in dealer management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Key Responsibilities:
      • Team Leadership: Plan, organize, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering top-notch service on heavy diesel equipment. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
      • Service Management: Oversee shop and field service operations by effectively monitoring labor and parts usage to achieve profit objectives. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
      • Employee Development: Develop and manage the growth of employees through mentoring, training programs, and performance evaluations. Promote skill enhancement and career advancement opportunities.
      • Customer Focus: Ensure a customer-centric approach in all service operations, striving to exceed customer expectations and enhance satisfaction.
      • Quality Control: Implement and uphold quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of service and workmanship.
      • Technician Support: Provide technical assistance and expertise to the Service departments as needed. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
      • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Branch Manager regarding the status of work, team performance, and any potential challenges or opportunities. Physical Requirements:
        • Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
        • Must be able to lift and move more than 50 lbs. without assistance.
        • Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
