The Enterprise Services Business Risk Office provides risk management support to several lines of business including: Brand, Enterprise Supplier Management, Enterprise Products & Experience (EPX), Software, External Affairs, eData, Global Workplace Solutions, Emerging Payments, Ventures, and Tech. - As the risk team for Software, we are on the cutting edge of risk management and provide support for new and emerging technologies as well as critical business strategies. Capital One has taken a bold journey to build a technology company, while operating in a complex, highly regulated business. -Today, the Capital One Software line of business is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud. -The successful candidate will have knowledge of process management strategies, risk methodologies and ability to build relationships with business and risk partners. -Our team is passionate about proactively identifying current and emerging risks by utilizing technology to gather insights, analyzing datasets, and synthesizing the evolving risk landscape.Responsibilities: - Partner with Capital One Software and leverage a trusted advisor model to support business initiatives, issue management, process improvement, control testing and related risk assessment activities
- Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products, services, and risk profile -
- Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and concerns, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas
- Consult on Risks across the first line of defense business partners providing advice and guidance as needed
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
- Implement process improvements: process certification framework, process hierarchy change management, change control, and risk reporting -
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
- Communicate complex ideas concisely and convincingly, adjust communication to the audience and comfortable with presenting to executive leadership -
- Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
- Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 10 years of experience in Risk Management
- At least 8 years of People Management experience -
- At least 8 years of experience in project management, risk program management, Cloud risk management or process management
- At least 8 - years of experience supporting or partnering with internal clients, external clients, or a combination of the two
- At least 8 years of experience consulting with senior executives
- At least 4 years of experience working in cross functional teams -Preferred Qualifications: -
