A company is looking for a Medical Coder IV to code various types of patient cases remotely.



Key Responsibilities

Code all types of cases using ICD-10-CM, PCS, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
Assist with training and mentoring new coding staff and conducting coding audits
Coordinate coding meetings with the Clinical Documentation Improvement team and monitor coding reviews


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate degree in Health Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
Five years of acute care inpatient and/or outpatient hospital coding experience
Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC; dual credentials preferred
Ability to pass a coding exam before hiring
