Lhoist North America, a major supplier of lime, limestone, and minerals products to the North American marketplace, is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join the team at their Ripplemead, VA facility. This is a role where you will be working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.

  • Troubleshoot problems in electrical circuits, electric motors, starters, VFD's, Soft-Starters and Instrumentation (temperature, draft/pressure, level, flow)
  • Perform daily inspection and calibration as needed of process control equipment and environmental compliance equipment.
  • Specify and install replacement and new (application's) process equipment and components.
  • Capable of programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC's) to include A-B/Rockwell PLC5, ControlLogic, DeviceNet, and ControlNet
  • Must be able to perform mechanical PMs and repairs to the following equipment: Screw conveyors, belt conveyors, bucket elevators, Raymond mills, screens, general bearing installation, reducer maintenance and installation, stationary equipment lubrication.
    • Perform all work assigned in a neat and orderly manner, adhering to company governmental safety rules and regulations.
    • Report any potential operational or safety problems to supervision.
    • Know and follow lock out/ tag out procedures.
    • Must have high regard for other's safety in the field.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Perform all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
