The candidate will acquire product knowledge, use, and advance their technical skills while performing their assigned responsibilities in the product development on advanced projects.The duties assigned to the Lab Tech V, and their responsibilities include: - Able to lift 30lbs on a daily basis

- Able to prepare Facility Work Orders, Information Technology (IT) orders, track and manage test equipment utilization and movement, calibration and/or repair.
- Maintain accurate records of requisitions, purchase orders, receiving reports, move tickets, project inventory, etc.
- Conducts weekly and quarterly lab self-assessments to ensure labs are operating in a safe and compliant manner. Must document and close out on any deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Must be familiar with various types of basic and advanced test equipment such as and not limited to oscilloscopes, function generators, attenuators, terminations, etc. to be able to accommodate Engineering needs in labs.
- Basic electronic theory required to help identify issues in test equipment setups that may cause safety issues such as daisy chaining of cords, exposed voltage terminals and proper grounding of electronic racks.
- Will perform periodic verification of ESD lab bench mats as per company guidelines while documenting results on an online database.
- Works with facilities and program management to establish new lab space or reconfigure existing lab spaces to meet program needs. Should be familiar with lab layout planning such as power requirements, cooling, compressed air and ESD requirements.
- Supports both internal QA audits and outside audits for DCMA and ISO AS9100. Assist with deficiencies as required to close out corrective actions.
- Oversee day-to-day technician activities for programs and Engineers by providing basic Engineering supplies such as cables and sundry items.
- Support tasks such as familiarity with parts / chemical procurement and test equipment procurement via internal purchasing procedures.
- Knowledge of RFID systems to use for tracking of test equipment and other high value lab property.
- Work with internal Security department to assure general and secure labs meet internal and government regulations as required.Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.Please note that pursuant to a government contract, the specific position requires US citizenship status.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must possess an Active US Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
- Requires a electro/mechanically-oriented individual with experience interpreting drawings, standards and specifications as well as procedures and work instructions.
- An Associate's degree in relevant discipline with at least three (3) years of related experience, or the overall equivalent.
- Strong background in problem solving techniques and analysis
- Proficiency in standard and industry-related software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate through verbal and electronic means to broader working teams and be able to prioritize tasks in order to assure programs are successful.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
