<span>Seeking a Cognos Developer for a contract job in Centreville, VA.<br>&nbsp;<br>Responsibilities:<br>&bull; Understand the company&rsquo;s current data and systems environment<br>&bull; Work with key business users to capture the company&#39;s reporting requirements <br>&bull; Work with business users to design reporting and analytical applications that leverage our data infrastructure<br>&bull; Develop, test, and deploy reporting and analytical applications using Cognos and SQL, as necessary<br>&bull; Integrate scheduled reports, dashboards, and cube builds into production job streams<br>&bull; Monitor and optimize report performance<br>&nbsp;<br>Requirements:<br>&bull; 6+ years experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying reporting and analytical applications using Cognos 8/10<br>o Experience with Cognos 8/10 Framework Manager, Query Studio, PowerPlay Studio, and Report Studio required<br>o Experience with Cognos Mobile, &nbsp;Metric Studio and/or Event Studio a strong plus<br>&bull; Very strong SQL and/or PL/SQL skills required<br>&bull; Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis<br>&bull; Experience developing reporting solutions in an Oracle 11g environment required<br>&bull; Experience with analytical databases and/or data warehouse appliances a plus<br>&bull; Experience with data virtualization tools such as Composite Software a strong plus<br>&bull; Excellent problem solving skills and strong attention to detail<br>&bull; Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing, team-based environment.
