Please review the job details below.Maxar has an immediate opening for a Full Stack Software Developer/Engineer to join our team supporting a mission to solve unique and challenging problems for national security. - We are seeking an engineer who embraces technology and thrives on the art of the possible. The ideal candidate will be part of a small multi-disciplinary software team and will have the unique opportunity to interact directly with users and other technologists to ensure solutions, development and tools meet the needs of the customer.Note: US citizenship is mandatory for this position and required for consideration. -An active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI poly highly preferred.Location: - Herndon, VAPrincipal Responsibilities:

• Develop enabling software solutions using a variety of languages that address real world user requirements; writes and debugs custom code and creates user documentation.
• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-quality software for our technology stack.
• Collaborate with the program manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and demo new features.
• Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission critical applications.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
• Work closely with the DevSecOps team to deploy new features and maintain system stability.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Write robust test suites to ensure high-quality code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.Skills Required
  • 5+ years of technical experience in
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
    • Developing custom software solutions
    • Performing data extraction, manipulation, and visualization with proficiency in JavaScript, Java, and/or Python
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
    • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
    • Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
    • Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
    • Communicates effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
    • Willingness to work onsite at least 30% or as needs dictate
    • US citizenship and active Secret clearanceAdditional Skills DesiredSome familiarity in these areas would be beneficial.
      • Strong Linux skills and familiarity with cloud architectures, AWS, C2S, Openstack, etc
      • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
      • An adaptable and solution centric mindset that embraces technology enablers
      • Familiarity with common industry software tools, concepts, and DevSecOps

To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience.
