We are collaborating with a prominent healthcare institution in Salem, VA, to find a qualified **Director of Trauma Program, RN**. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the trauma program's operational functions, including compliance with Virginia Department of Health standards, program development, education, and continuous performance improvement. As the Trauma Program Director, you will act as a key liaison between medical professionals, administration, and the community to ensure the highest standards of trauma care are met. Location: Salem, VA 24153 Position: Director of Trauma Program, RN Salary**: $83,600 - $133,800 annually (based on experience) **Employment Type**: Full-time, Direct Hire **Work Hours**: Onsite, full-time schedule **Relocation Assistance**: Not provided Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with all trauma center verification standards as per the Virginia Department of Health and Office of Emergency Services. - Coordinate and manage trauma care protocols across the continuum of care. - Lead the trauma program's education, performance improvement, and clinical protocol implementation. - Oversee the trauma registry, including data validation and performance tracking. - Serve as a consultant and liaison to EMS agencies and hospital departments. - Lead trauma-related community outreach and education programs. - Manage administrative functions, including staffing, budgeting, and operational oversight. ### Key Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. - Active RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. - Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership experience in trauma, emergency, ICU, or critical care. - BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. - CEN or CCRN certification required within two years of hire. - Demonstrated experience managing multiple care phases and personnel groups in an acute care setting. ### Preferred Skills: - Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience working with interdisciplinary teams. - Experience with trauma program management and quality improvement initiatives. - Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for trauma care programs.
