A company is looking for a Remote Coding Specialist for the Emergency Department.



Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze facility inpatient medical records to identify diagnoses, procedures, and treatments
Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes accurately and verify DRG assignments
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and participate in coding audits to enhance accuracy standards


Required Qualifications

AHIMA credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P; or AAPC credentials: CPC, COC, or CIC
Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility Emergency Department coding
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and PCS coding systems
Experience with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
