Senior Manager, Solutions Architect (Workday)We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Functional Architect to join our HR Tech team. This role will partner with our Workday Platform Architect to advise Workday Experience teams in the design, implementation, and optimization of our Workday environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the functional success of all business processes, user experiences, system configurations, and data quality standards across Workday modules, including Human Capital Management (HCM), Talent Acquisition, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Financials.The Senior Manager, Solutions Architect serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product, and design teams to translate business needs into functional solutions while ensuring that the platform is leveraging "Workday First" approach to solutions, while supporting the organization's overall strategic goals. This role will also be accountable for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data used across the platform, and will lead initiatives to maintain reporting and data quality standards. The successful candidate will lead a team of functional platform engineers, providing direction and ensuring the delivery of Workday projects and enhancements that not only meet business viability but also deliver optimal user experiences and high-quality reporting outputs.Key Responsibilities: - Establish a multi-year functional strategy for the Workday Experience teams
- Partners closely with the Technical Platform Architect to create best practice standards for the our Platform & Experience teams
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product, and design teams to understand key business requirements, processes, and challenges, translating these into functional solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
- Ensure that all Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Financials, Recruiting) are optimally configured to meet evolving business needs, while prioritizing user experience and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype and iterate on solutions, ensuring that business viability, technical feasibility, and user experience are optimized.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure that data is accurate, complete, and aligned with business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to refine data quality processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and ensure seamless data integrity across the organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams of technical configurators, product managers, analysts, designers, and consultants to ensure the seamless delivery of new functionalities and user-friendly experiences.
- Lead and mentor a team of Workday functional architects and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to team members, helping them navigate complex configurations, troubleshooting challenges, and ensuring adherence to data quality and reporting standards.
- Create an engagement model which keeps the team updated on new Workday functionalities, deprecations, best practices, and design standards.
- Work closely with business units, product, and design teams to design, implement, and refine business processes and user flows, improving both operational efficiency and the overall user experience.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert-level guidance on how to leverage Workday functionalities to optimize business processes, user journeys, and ensure accurate reporting outputs
- Stay current with Workday's latest features, updates, and design best practices, ensuring that the platform is leveraging the latest technologies and functionalities to deliver maximum value to both the business and users.
- Lead efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and user experience optimization that will drive business success.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree -
- At least 8 years of experience in Workday functional architecture -
- At least 2 years of experience leading and mentoring teams -Preferred Qualifications
