• Implementing and supporting Cloud, Enterprise, and Service provider Networks, Network Hardening, Cloud Migration, and Ansible Automation.
• Identification of INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.
• Providing technical guidance and direction for TCP/IP transport network design and engineering, networking routing protocols, advanced virtual networking technologies.
• Analyzing the optimization of network system performance.
• Overseeing the strategic interface of network systems configuration.
• Assessing network engineering technologies, computing systems hardware and software protocols.
• Providing high-level technical advice and guidance to managers and technical resources on networking technologies to meet current and future organizational needs.
• Establishing overall strategic network standards and priorities.
• Identification of technical trends in information technology, awareness of ongoing IT projects, and business unit requirements.
• Continuous integration, test automation and/or SecDevOps on iterative development projects.QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required to start.
  • B.S., Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 16 years of experience.
  • CCIE Certification- both written and lab.
  • JNCIE Certification- both written and lab.
  • Deep knowledge of MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN and IP telephony.
  • Developing IP/MPLS network architecture.
  • Developing and executing MPLS VPN Service Standards for global network.
  • Linux Systems Engineering experience, including: AWS Deployment, Apache/Nginx, PostgreSQL, Linux, KVM virtualization, Bash and Perl Scripting.
  • Red Hat Ansible Automation.
  • Enterprise Architecture frameworks and principles.
  • Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) Support.
  • Cloud experience (AWS, VPC, transit gateway, private link, ELB, etc.); Azure (connectivity services - Vnet, Virtual WAN, VPN gateway, application protection, application delivery and network monitoring, etc.).Desired Qualifications:
    • Cisco IOS- including switching, routing, segment routing, and other technologies.
    • Radio frequency and spectrum engineering.
    • Optical networking technology and engineering.
    • Satellite communications engineering.
    • Cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
    • Other automation tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.).
    • Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles.
    • Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects.
    • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
    • Knowledge of Agile development principles.
    • Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.).
    • Knowledge of state-of-the-art systems engineering principles and network design concepts.
    • Knowledge of OSI model, routing protocols, and their application to router configurations.
    • Experience in multi-vendor network security environment.
    • Experience with routing design, techniques, and protocols such as BGP.
    • In-depth understanding of peering, QoS, and traffic engineering.
