We are currently seeking a Project Land Planner with 3+ years of experience in our Northern Virginia area ScopeThe Project Land Planner position will involve conceptual and schematic design, site planning, master planning and graphic and technical production.The position will involve working within a team environment on various public and private sector projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, streetscapes, parks and open spaces.This is an opportunity to advance and grow professionally through project work experience and mentorship from senior staff.Principal Responsibilities - Prepares land planning and zoning research for associated plans, studies and reports
- Prepares lot yield sketches, concept plans and master plans
- Completes entitlement drawing submission packages
- Completes exhibits, presentation graphics and renderings
- Attends project meetings with senior staff
- Other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
- Good research skills, and good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Positive attitude and strong work ethicEducation and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in planning (or equivalent discipline in landscape architecture, environmental studies, geography, urban design or arts)
