  Job Details
  • Unit Information: Endoscopy at LewisGale Medical Center.
  • Address: 1900 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153, 2nd Floor, Main Hospital.
  • General Information: 4 Endoscopy Procedure Rooms, approx 25 staff with Day Shift primarily RN's, including scrub tech and scope room techs, Night Shift on-call only, 20-30 patients through the department each weekday, equipment includes Olympus scopes and Provation procedural documentation, Meditech EMR system.
  • Responsibilities include training all RNs to admit patients, circulate and scrub in procedural cases, recover, and discharge patients.
  • Typical procedures performed: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy.
    Job Requirements
    • Must have 2 years of RN experience.
    • Preferred: PACU or ICU experience, although not required.
    • Best personality fit: Fast-paced, multi-tasker, quick learner, comfortable in frequently changing situations, and team-oriented.
      Schedule Information
      • Week days and weekend call required for all staff, including PRN.
