: J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) is seeking an experienced full-time Professional Engineer to work as Project Engineer in our Kennewick, Washington office. The ideal candidate has a solid foundational understanding of planning and design relating to civil infrastructure of water, wastewater, and irrigation systems especially on farm and irrigation district projects and works well in a collaborative, problem-solving, team environment. Primary Responsibilities: - Provide design services for civil projects including irrigation, river intakes, lagoons, dams, and small public water systems within southeastern Washington and surrounding region. This includes large steel pipe and outlet reinforcing design, river intake screen design, pump selection for river and booster pump stations with multiple pumps operating in parallel, design of single and double lined lagoons, design of small public water systems, permitting for in-water work, permitting for dam safety, hydraulic calculations and modeling of on-farm irrigation systems.
- Play a key role in all phases of project development, design, and construction.
- Analyze engineering data, prepare plans and specifications, and make sound engineering decisions to solve client challenges.
- Collaborate with our Kennewick Ag Group on design and construction projects for our clients.
- Collaborate with government agencies for permits, reviews, and other necessary requirements.
- Organize and conduct meetings with consulting partners, contractors, clients, and agencies.
- Effectively use design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office and modeling software to communicate engineering decisions in reports, technical memorandums, e-mails, and by telephone. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in Washington or Oregon.
- 5-10+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Agricultural design and construction experience (i.e. irrigation pipes, pumps, lagoons, screens).
