University of Washington: Academic Personnel: School of Medicine: NeurologyLocationSeattle Children's Hospital, Seattle, WashingtonOpen DateJan 18, 2024DescriptionThe Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is hiring a pediatric neurologist to specialize in neuro-oncology in the Division of Pediatric Neurology at Seattle Children's Hospital. The Division has approximately 30 faculty, including nine epileptologists and multiple subspecialty programs. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. This position will require active participation in clinical and teaching programs. This is a full-time appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor WOT (without tenure by reason of funding). Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period, meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.The base salary range for this position will be $17,019 - $19,167 per month ($204,228 - $230,004 per year), commensurate with experience, discipline, and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation may include Startup, Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance, Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role, or Productivity Incentive.The anticipated start date for this position is August 1, 2024.QualificationsRequirements include an MD or foreign equivalent. Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Washington and be either board eligible or board certified in their subspecialty field.
