Job Summary: Responsible for supporting the restaurant operation, maintaining established cost and quality standards to ensure superior service and maximize profits. Oversee all aspects of the restaurant, including staff management, inventory control, budget adherence, and customer service.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Interview, hire, and supervise restaurant staff
- Train service staff on food and beverage service standards
- Schedule staff based on business needs and management objectives
- Conduct performance reviews and develop staff skills to meet service and quality goals
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff as needed
- Assign and follow up on work duties and side work
- Respond to and resolve customer issues and complaints
- Assist with menu and beverage planning
- Monitor labor costs, food/beverage costs, and departmental expenses to maximize profitability
- Perform and oversee inventories of wine, liquor, glassware, and silverware
- Control inventory and maintain adequate supplies
- Ensure financial targets are met and forecasting procedures are followed
- Be visible on the floor and assist staff during meal periods
- Organize daily pre-shift meetings for communication between management and employees
- Ensure sanitation and safety programs meet OSHA standards and best practicesQualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience, or an associate's degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Food Handler's Card and Alcohol Server Permit
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilitiesPhysical Demands:
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, and talk/hear
- Frequently reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally sit, climb/balance, and stoop/kneel/crouch
