Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years required License: WA license required at time of submission Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required Must-Have: Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and trauma settings required Description: Sterile Processing Technician position available for an evening shift, 5x8 hours from Monday to Friday. The schedule includes one rotating weekend per month, possibly twice depending on staffing needs. The daily caseload per technician is 65 surgical cases with a 1,200 tray volume. Weekend work is required. Floating between like units is not necessary. On-call duty is required twice per month, including rotating weekends. Block schedules are not guaranteed but may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Guaranteed hours are 40 per week. Candidates must have experience in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, case carts, HLD, and scrub experience. Experience in surgical cases such as Ortho, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Bariatrics, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, Transplant, Robotics, and Implants is required. Ophthalmology experience is preferred. Experience in EPIC charting is required. Vaccination exemptions are no longer accepted. Modules are non-billable and average 16 hours to complete.
