• Monitor operational performance and efficiency, and take action to redirect activities appropriately
• Report to management on performance, make recommendations for process/programmatic changes
• Supervise mechanics in the maintenance shop, which includes coaching, counseling, training, and taking corrective actions
• Work with Human Resources in decisions of hiring, terminations, evaluations, promotions, etc.
• Perform inspections of outside repairs to ensure all work was done properly and completed in accordance with the Company's safety and compliance procedures and federal and state regulations
• Identify training opportunities, document issues, and communicate with all staff
• Conduct quality control inspections, track issues and resolutions to ensure all work is properly completed
• Oversee the maintenance shop's inventory to ensure the equipment and parts are always available
• Keep up with technology such as engines, emission systems, transmissions, electrical, etc.Education
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferredRequirements/Qualifications
    • Experience as a hands-on mechanic
    • Supervisory experience and skills
    • 10+ years' experience preferredConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
