This role involves managing a broad range of insurance defense cases, with an emphasis on insurance coverage matters, including analysis of coverage issues, interpretation of policy provisions, and related litigation. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in insurance coverage and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional client results.Key Responsibilities: - Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation, with a focus on coverage disputes and related matters.
- Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including providing coverage opinions and handling declaratory judgment actions.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other critical legal documents.
- Conduct detailed legal research and prepare comprehensive memoranda on complex coverage issues.
- Advocate for clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to craft effective case strategies for coverage-related disputes.
- Negotiate settlements and manage case files with precision and efficiency.
- Deliver clear, timely communication and expert advice to clients throughout all case stages.
- Stay current on legal developments and trends in insurance coverage and defense litigation.Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership with the Washington State Bar.
- 2 years of experience in insurance defense, with a strong focus on insurance coverage analysis and litigation (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex insurance policies.
- Strong litigation skills, including deposition and trial preparation experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
