The core mission of the Receiving Manager is to facilitate the efficient and accurate receipt and storage of the materials used in the manufacturing processes. The Receiving Manager is an integral part of the production team and is required to have comprehensive knowledge about the material and understand the manufacturing workflow, while guiding a team. Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain a calendar of incoming materials and developing plans for the off-loading of materialsAccurately fulfill department requisitions and deliver parts throughout factory Responsible for material inspectionsReview purchase ordersEnsure proper documentation of materials is completeAccurately follow material control procedures regarding material deliveriesResponsible for material inventory and material storageMeet critical deadlines and schedulesPerform general site clean-up and preparation tasksMove materials safely and effectively through the factory with the required equipmentCrew Leadership and Coordination:Direct and oversee daily activities of crews to ensure quality of work done and accuracy in inventory trackingAssign tasks to workers based on skill set and workload to optimize productivityEffectively communicate with procurement staff, supervisors, and relevant production staffFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among crew membersOther duties and responsibilities as requiredSafety:Takes responsibility for the safe execution of the workUses JSA'sUnderstands and participates in the Cardinal Rules of SafetyFollow safety guidelines and procedures at all timesRequirements:RequirementsHigh school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree2+ years of experience operating a forklift Previous construction, warehouse, or manufacturing experienceStrong organization skills and the ability to track, retain and integrate informationAbility to confidently interface with all levels of company organizationFluent in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Excellent written communications, using correct grammar and spellingQualificationsPrevious shipping and/or receiving experienceManagerial experiencePhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 70 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment. The work environment characteristics here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Compensation$39.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
