To achieve that goal, we are looking for a Staff Product Security Engineer to help us secure our future.You will be a strong contributor to both the strategic and the tactical initiatives of our organization. You will help us work backwards from the big picture, balancing the speed of a startup with high security standards. You will identify potential problems and develop proactive solutions to mitigate them while enabling us to stay innovative and agile.In our team, technical contributors at this level are both visionary leaders and hands-on builders. They work on our hardest and most ambiguous problems. They have strong technical judgment and the communication skills to influence at the CTO and executive level as a key technical advisor. They provide both architectural guidance and detailed technical direction while nurturing a culture of continuous delivery.If you are a software or infrastructure engineer with a strong interest in security, you are encouraged to apply. - Collaborate with product teams to threat model features, and identify and mitigate risks.
- Design, build, and own security and privacy features supporting product engineering and customer operations.
- Help drive the direction of the organization by operationalizing common security patterns and advancing our roadmap.
- Proactively identify and remedy potential security risks to customer data.
- Enhance the security reasoning and knowledge of the greater engineering team, including executive leadership.What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a financial services or technology company.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and assessing secure architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
- Strong software, infrastructure, and security fundamentals.
- Strong command of one or more of the following: applied cryptography, authnz, networking, and code analysis.
- Experience writing software in Python, GoLang, and/or Java; or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong desire to grow and educate others.Added bonus if you have--
- Experience with cloud security architectures, technologies, and platforms including AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience with financial services regulations, such as SOC 2, PCI-DSS, CCPA, and GDPR.
