We are committed to a healthy work-life balance for all staff.The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design of the electrical components of a wide variety of projects including commercial, industrial, municipal, water and wastewater treatment, and pump station projects. The design tasks include cabling system selection, sizing, and routing; electrical gear specification and layout; lighting fixtures selection and layout; engine generator sizing; electrical system condition assessment; construction observation; communications and notification systems specification and layout; and instrumentation and control system selection, specification, and layout.The successful candidate will take responsibility for the design of electrical systems from project definition through construction. The candidate must be able to interface with project managers, engineers, vendors, code inspectors, utility personnel, and client staff. The candidate must be able to work within established budgets and schedules. The candidate should have the ability to manage work associated with multiple projects concurrently.Key Qualifications:

• Under the guidance of registered professional engineers, provide electrical design and engineering for various electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, instrumentation and controls, grounding, telecommunications and fire alarm systems.
• Apply current codes and standards to designs.
• Perform electrical load and voltage drop calculations.
• Prepare short circuit and overcurrent device coordination studies.
• Perform cost estimates of electrical designs.
• Prepare electrical specifications.
• Provide energy efficient and sustainable design.
• Provide construction assistance, including review of contractor submittals, answering contractor questions, and observing construction.Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering or other Engineering discipline)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineering (PE) licensure required. Those with an EIT must be on track to become a PE within 2 years.
