Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk - Sodo Area - Seattle Washington

We are looking to add a member to our team of fantastic accounting professionals. Our environment is business casual and we are located in a fantastic downtown location, easily accessible by car or bus. Qualifications:

- Experience in an automated Accounting Department with General Accounting Experience and/or college course work

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to read and follow written documentation

- Able to manage time constraints, prioritize tasks and work with high volumes of information



Responsibilities:

- Full cycle accounts payable including reviewing all invoices received for approval by management, code to correct General Ledger Account, accounting period and unit. Entering approved invoices into the Macola software package following the approved schedule.

- Monitor Use Tax and accrue as necessary

- Print and process scheduled and manual checks in system, input details in the check register on a daily basis, verify receipt of required back-up

- Review monthly A/P interface, verifying copies of required documents are complete and information is correct and reasonable

- Balance Macola to Control Logs, subsidiary ledger to the General Ledger, System checks to check register weekly and monthly. Balance Vendor Statements monthly

- File all A/P invoices and checks

- Review sales reports from various locations for reasonableness, input information into the Revenue Tracking System and Check Register as required

- Audit revenue information

- Respond to Bankcard and ATM company requests for authorization of charges

- Review and forward required reports to Management

- Inform Operations and Supervisor of any procedures not being followed or general problems in the operating units

- Compile required Form 1099 information on vendors; assist in preparation of 1099's at Year-End

- Assist in preparation of bank reconciliations, monthly Business Tax reports, and Financial Statements

- Other duties and projects as required



Essential Functions

- Must be able to view and operate a computer terminal

- Must be able to communicate in clear English verbally, written and using telecommunication devices
