Key Responsibilities

Review clinical documentation to identify opportunities for improvement and communicate with physicians
Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure accurate clinical documentation is recorded
Submit electronic queries to clinicians and maintain compliance with documentation standards



Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a health-related field (preferred)
Certifications: Clinical Documentation Specialist, Coding Specialist, Document Improvement Practitioner, and Registered Nurse (single state or multi-state compact)
One or more years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist in an acute care setting
Minimum of five years of healthcare experience
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record and CDI Software (preferred) More...
