Position Title: Music Director, Newport Presbyterian Church
Reports to: Head of Staff
Approved by: Personnel Committee
Status: Part time (20-40 hours per week; including Sundays and Christmas Eve)
Hours are flexible according to agreed-upon skills and tasks.
Pay and Benefits: starting at $30/hour, depending on experience; contributions toward health insurance may be available if working more than 20 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and direct the music program at Newport Presbyterian Church.
Coordinate and lead music for worship services, including Sundays and special events.
Collaborate with the Head of Staff and other church leaders in planning music for services.
Recruit, train, and support musicians and volunteers involved in the music program.
Manage the music budget and resources effectively.
Engage the congregation through music and encourage participation.
