Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska.The Sr. Director of Engineering has oversight of the teams that provide operation and maintenance of facility and Factory structures and machinery as well as planning and executing projects of diverse size and complexity up to and including major infrastructure projects for Domestic Operations.Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Facility and Factory Management: - Oversees the development and implementation of the factory and facility maintenance programs.
- Establishes, prepares, and maintains policies and SOP's related to factory and facility maintenance.
- Directs and oversees installation of major and minor factory and facility upgrades and repairs.
- Directs or facilitates collaboration with regulatory agencies to confirm compliance with required programs, and ensures permits are current.Capital projects planning and execution:
- Identifies capital project needs and prepares assessments on resource needs and capital requirements.
- Creates business cases to support projects that include ROI, gap analysis and risk assessment.
- Develops detailed models and presentation decks for the Executive team and Board members providing valuation analysis and financial modeling.
- Facilitates project risk and security reviews and develops appropriate mitigation.
- Develops hazard analyses, working with the safety department to establish safety requirements for each project and ensures all regulatory requirements are met.
- Procures and manages all necessary employees, consultants and contractor services according to policy.
- Reviews and approves project expenditures including contractor requisitions and invoices, and any project plan deviations.Team Management:
- Sets and communicates goals and objectives for Engineering teams to align with company strategic goals.
- Works with HR team to conduct needs analyses in order to review and right size positions and structure.
- Develop "bench strength" by identifying high potential employees and establishing training programs including regulatory certifications and accreditations.This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $210k to $260k.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. - A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities engineering management, including preventative maintenance and HVAC, utilities, permitting and regulatory requirements.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- Experience completing ROI analyses, gap analyses, capital and risk assessments for major capital projects.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
- Ability to travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, up to 50%.Preferred education and experience
