  • Skilled Care Unit position at Weirton Medical Center
  • Job involves passing meds, wound care, foley, IVs, Peg tubes, ostomy care for RNs & LPNs; patient care, feeding, bathing, pericare for CNAs
  • Common diagnoses include Weakness, Fractures, COPD exacerbation
  • Experience required: 1 year, first-time travelers accepted
  • Charge nurse does not take assignment on dayshift, takes assignment on night shift
    Job Requirements
    • Required Certifications: RN, LPN, CNA
    • BLS certification required
    • LPNs: Prefer IV certified; competency will be assessed on site
    • Must have WV Cares prior to start
      Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts for RNs and LPNs (7 AM - 7 PM)
      • 12-hour shifts for CNAs (6 AM - 6 PM)
      • Every other weekend required
      • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
      • Travelers asked to be flexible with scheduling
        Unit Specific Information
        • 1 day of unit/department specific orientation with Educator
        • 1 day with preceptor for RNs
        • 1 day of orientation for charge role for RNs
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: RNs: Navy, LPNs: Navy, CNAs: Light blue
        • Parking: On site and free
