Our restaurant is looking to hire a new fulltime Line Cook who will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes for our members & their guests in our casual dining Grill Room. The menu changes regularly and is consistent with casual American style cuisine with elements of contemporary bar & grill foods. Duties will include prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Cooking meals using grilling, broiling, sauteing and deep frying. It is important to check ingredients for freshness and arranging/garnishing the dishes including your daily/weekly responsibilities. It is essential that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. Nights & weekends are a must for this position. To be successful in this position, you will need: High School Diploma or equivalent. Thorough experience with Hot & Cold food preparation, minimum 2 years experience. Prior experience in a related position is preffered, culinary school education is an advantage. Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation & safety standards, as well as, current health codes. Ability to show proficiency using slicers, mixers, food processors, & kitchen knives. Willingness and capability of working in a fast paced, results driven environment. Outstanding multi-task and organizational skills. Driven to exceed guest expectations and provide superior dining experiences. Expectations & Responsibilities: Prepare exceptional meals for our members & guests. Weigh, measure, cut, & otherwise prep ingredients according to recipes. Steam, grill, broil, boi, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, & other ingredients. Check food and ingredients for Freshness. Arrange and garnish dishes according to chef's standards. Work well under pressure and within the time limit. Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment, utensils are clean. Write and execute daily prep lists in an orderly and timely manner.
