Position Summary:This position is responsible for assisting the accounting department with general accounting activities including accounts payable, corporate tax payments, month-end closing and report generation. This is for Busse-SJI LLC, Arrowhead Systems, LLC, and A&B Engineering Services LLC. Other accounting duties as needed.Major Responsibilities: - Maintains accounts payable records, including editing, checking and preparing accounts payable entries and tabulating control statistics.
- Maintaining un-invoiced reports, uncleared AP checks, and vendor statements. Making sure they are current and accurate.
- Invoice verification, code expenses, prepares and processes accounts payable checks, remits invoices and performs filing.
- Work with Finance team to make sure invoices are coded to the proper work orders and jobs.
- Processes expense reports.
- Matches invoices to packing lists.
- Invoice freight for equipment.
- Journal entries at month end - Payables accruals, invoices, allocations.
- Intercompany account reconciliations for all divisions.
- 1099's at year end for all divisions.
- Process credit cards for all above divisions and backup for Arrowhead Conveyor LLC.
- Distribute the mail at Randolph location.
- Assist with records retention.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.Education and Experience
- One-year certificate from college or technical school and three-years related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience or five years of experience.
- receive guidance with respect to general objectives in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments. operate within specific policy guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously.Travel
- No overnight travel required. - IF IN OFFICE. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.Benefits
