  Job Details
  • Diagnostic Imaging position available.
  • Day shift with 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend per month.
  • Cardiovascular Intervention includes the specialties of Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology. The candidate will be trained in all these specialties.
  • Verify patient identification, presence of signed informed procedural consent, allergies, and history of contrast reaction.
  • Verify integrity and expiration date of sterile supplies, and medication details.
  • Prepare equipment for sterilization.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, assess distal pulses pre- and post-procedure, and participate in pre-procedural time-out activity.
  • Prepare access sites with required sterile drapes and covers, set up physiological monitoring equipment, and familiarize patient with the examination.
  • In conjunction with the physician, select proper contrast agent, manage the automatic contrast injector, and prepare or assist with medications according to physician orders.
  • Recognize and respond to patient emergencies, maintain medical equipment, and adjust pressure transducers.
  • Assist with procedures, ensure radiation safety, document fluoroscopy time and radiation dose.
  • Position patient and imaging equipment, select imaging protocols and employ enhancement techniques.
  • Acquire and process digital images, perform 3D image reconstructions, assist with ultrasound guidance.
  • Monitor and record all procedural data, provide post-procedural care, apply pressure or dressing to puncture sites, and place vascular closure devices.
  • Provide practical instruction for students and partners.
    Job Requirements
    • Graduate of accredited radiology program.
