Day.Aspirus Health Plan is seeking a Director - Sales & Marketing to join our team in Wausau, WI!This position is responsible for achieving Aspirus Health Plan (AHP) market growth, sales goals and successful implementation of the Aspirus Health Plan sales growth strategies, including all health plan marketing efforts. The position will create and engage in opportunities that increase visibility in the employer group sales and consultant/broker communities; establishes strong, positive working relationships with key market employers and consultants/brokers to effectively position all Aspirus Health Plan products, programs, and services to increase growth and revenue opportunities. This position also works collaboratively with AHP operational leaders to ensure execution of market sales plans that promote all products, programs, and services; including market intelligence as it relates to employers, payors and competitive strategies.Experience/Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Health or Business Management, Marketing or related field
- Two to five years' experience in related healthcare business or account management position
- Five years of experience in direct sales to businesses or a related field necessary to develop and enhance relationship-based skills.
- Health Insurance license preferred and required within set amount of time by leader.
- Demonstrated sales and account management skills and knowledge of the healthcare industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, administrators, and clients.
- Proficiency in computer skills to include database management, spreadsheets, word processing, PowerPoint, and email.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience effectively interacting with internal and external strategic decision makers of all levels, presentation skills and effective listening.
- Demonstrated expertise in market development activities such as successful relationship building strategies, promoting products/services to existing/new clients, and experience in meeting financial targets.
- Skill in development of effective proposals
- Ability to have strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Possesses a valid driver's license required travel as needed.
