This is a hybrid role that would require being onsite at our Hartford, WI location several days a week outside of travel requirements. Job Summary: The EH&S Director plays an integral role in helping us ensure that our employees go home to their families every day, unharmed. The main focus will be on one of our largest facilities in Hartford, WI, but you will have oversite at our other facilities in Mexico, China, and Canada. Your work will center on establishing and maintaining safety and ergonomics programs and practices, while promoting a proactive safety culture. Safety will be the main focus; however, you will be responsible to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental regulatory statues and permit obligations for the US. Job Responsibilities: - Develop and implement ergonomic, health, safety and environmental strategy
- Report on monthly Broan metrics for all combined locations
- Manage site EHS team members
- Ensure that business activities and individuals adhere to the organization's HS&E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; to safeguard the environment, protect the wellbeing of our employees and minimize business risk.
- Develop and implement risk assessment tools
- Create training materials and programs
- Establish a Safety Management Program
- Manage Worker's Compensation program
- Periodic training on safety protocols for Operational Leadership, as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements by liaising with all internal risk management functions while supporting the development and implementation of the organizations' s compliance policy.
- Maintain environmental records and permits
- Coach Safety & Operational team members globally on best practices to drive a culture of trust and collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in safety and claims management in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Lean Manufacturing knowledge is strongly preferred.
