Warehouse / Forklift Driver - Berlin Wisconsin

Adecco is currently looking for an experienced Forklift Diver / Material Handler to work 1st shift at a major manufacturer in Berlin, WI.
. Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for the handling of materials (equipment, parts and supplies) throughout the facility maintaining quality of materials and ensuring supply demands to production areas and customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate forklift, hoist and other equipment to transport materials to specified areas of the plant, taking care to ensure quality of materials
Responsible for completing material movement documentation to ensure the integrity of the inventory system
Reference MRP system to determine appropriate placement and inventory levels
Unload inbound shipments, using forklift trucks to transport materials to designated stocking areas as determined by receiving and inventory plans
Load outgoing units according to shipping specifications and complete respective paperwork associated with shipment
Prepare units for shipment, inspecting for exterior damage, label adherence, etc
Maintain stock area
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas
Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard and strapping
Provide solutions for optimum use of warehousing and line stocking areas
Perform utility work within the plant as needed
Conduct safety check of forklift trucks, restraining systems for tractor trailer trucks and maintenance needs of company trucks used for delivery and/or pick up
Practice safe work habits, following safety guidelines with respect to operation and support company safety initiatives
Maintain clean work area
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License Required.
Ability to prioritize work and perform under time constraints
Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years of warehouse and/or shipping experience, including operation of forklift
Forklift certification or ability to be certified
Understanding of and ability to utilize Inventory Management Systems
Familiarity with the principles of production materials flow and planning
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance or equipment frequently.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk long distances; reach above shoulders; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Hand/eye coordination is constantly required. Handlers are required to turn and twist to ensure view all around at all times while operating equipment.
Ability to step up on and off of Forklift frequently.
Must be able to sit comfortably for long periods of time while driving over several types of terrain and weather constantly. More...
