Sr. Channel Manger, Retail Media Work Mode: -Hybrid Location: - -Hybrid at Kohler, WIOpportunityAs the Senior Manager - Retail Media, in the KOHLER Retail Marketing team, you'll lead the effort to enhance customer experiences and drive business results across channels alongside our retail partners. You will directly manage a team of Retail Media Managers, ensuring effective planning, execution, and evaluation of our Retail Media investments across KOHLER & Sterling brands in North America. You'll forge strong collaborations with Retailer Media & Marketing teams, such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, and Amazon, to meet ROAS expectations for both KOHLER & our retail partners. Collaborating closely with internal teams from Marketing, Sales, and Category Leadership teams, you'll strategically allocate Media Investments to align with Integrated Marketing Plans & New Product Launches. Success in this role hinges on your deep knowledge of media, omni-channel commerce, consumer marketing, technology, and analytics.Specific Responsibilities - Expertise & Evolution of Retail Media Strategy: Lead the retail media strategy & execution within the Kohler Marketing team, provide thought leadership, and best practices both internally (US/CA) and externally (partners & agencies). - Deep understanding & expertise in retail media eco-system across key KOHLER retailers. - - Stay on the cutting edge of the shopper marketing and digital media landscape to drive continuous improvement and develop best practices to ensure that Kohler continues to lead and grow market share.
- Media Management: Lead Retail Media negotiations and steward relationships with key retail media platforms to ensure success of our investments across all tactics, get access to emerging opportunities (ex: new tactics, technology, capabilities) and continue to test & learn to effect business impact. Manage & evolve day-to-day Retail Media execution as well as longer term, strategic projects. - Leads the annual budget planning & allocation for Retail Media, ensuring alignment to channel growth focuses in both total and by category.
- Retail Media Strategy: Own quarterly and yearly digital media planning & execution balancing category specific focuses with brand growth & awareness, profitability, and ROAS. - Create and submit annual and quarterly media briefs to ensure that the retailer is provided with clear and concise direction for media planning and execution.
- Financial Accountability: Deliver annual ROAS target to meet profitability goals for media spend through rigorous optimizations and ensure all KPIs are exceeding benchmarks. Actively manage Retail Media+ budget to ensure tactics are continually optimized based on KPIs. Own & maintain the monthly Retail Media+ dashboard and score card.
- Performance Optimization & Management: Actively participate in multiple weekly execution and strategy meetings with both internal and external partners. Monitor, Measure, Analyze, & Track all digital marketing campaigns & program performance.
- Test & Learn Execution: Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to assess performance based on internal sales metrics. Develop and execute a test & learn roadmap and partner with the Performance Marketing Team to continue to optimize BAU mix.
- Relationship Management Ability to develop & maintain strong relationships both internally & externally with Retailer Media / Marketing teams. Partner with cross-functional teams across Marketing, Sales, E-Comm to understand enterprise/scale, brand, retailer, E-Comm growth objectives and translate these priorities into actionable retail media campaigns that drive omni-channel demand and conversion.
- Team Leadership: Direct leadership of Retail Media & Marketing team (up to 5 Managers) with accountability to provide guidance & feedback for associate development.
- Financial Management: Establish Retail Media Annual spend by Retail with monthly budget management of spend & ROAS.
- Communication: Effectively communicate key findings to leadership and other cross-functional teams on a monthly/quarterly basis, proactively addressing gaps and turning analysis into action to drive category growth.
- Retail Media Capability Mgmt: Steward and continuously improve our go-to-market technology platforms, tools, processes, and workflow, ensuring the sales/customer voice is considered, all centered on a deep understanding of the shopper journey.
Skills/Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media or related field. - MBA/MS preferred. -
- 10+ Years of Marketing / Brand / Media Mgmt. Experience, 5+ Years at Leading strategic planning & activation with strong focus on Commerce / Retail Media. -
- +3 Years Prior Retail Media expertise working with commerce platforms (Home Depot, Amazon, etc.)
- +3 Years Experience of Direct Leadership & Team Management Experience
- Experience developing Strategy & Execution of Retail Media recommendations, management of investment, and optimization of spend across different digital tactics (ex: Display, Search) with ability to align to overall Brand / Category campaigns.
- Extremely strong business & financial acumen - performance/results driven
- Ability to communicate complex digital media concepts & results to stakeholders (internal / external) at all levels for understanding of strategy & results. Travel
