Position Title: Registered NurseLocation: Upland Hills Health - Mt. Horeb Clinic Urgent Care ServicesRole & Department: Urgent Care Services Registered Nurse position in our new Mt. Horeb Urgent Care Services DepartmentHours & Shift: Part-time positions available from a .5 to a .9 FTE. Scheduled hours will be from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.Role Responsibilities:The Urgent Care RN will work collaboratively as an active member of the team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered careThe Urgent Care Services RN will be responsible for total nursing care of patients presenting to the Urgent Care DepartmentThe RN will assess patient condition, evaluate and implement nursing care plans in accordance with appropriate Urgent Care services nursing standardsWill provide phlebotomy assistance as neededWill work with other members of the Urgent Care Team under the direction of the Urgent Care Physician or Advanced Practice Provider to provide patient careWill triage patients, take vital signs and collect medical histories, perform routine medical procedures, administer medications and treat minor woundsWill provide information and education to patients and families about care plans and goals and the rationale for the plans and goalsWill participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities for the the Urgent Care Services as neededWill document and record assessments, interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC)Will take responsibility for their professional development and growth as an urgent care providerQualifications:Graduate of a School of Nursing ProgramLicensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of WisconsinPrior nursing services experiences of at least 1 year is requiredPrior Emergency, Urgent Care or Clinic based nursing care experiences are highly preferredCertified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred, but not requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) is requiredACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC or willingness to obtain is beneficialKnowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record (EPIC)Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and telemetryKnowledge of Central LinesOutstanding verbal and written skills are requiredAbility to work independently at timesPrevious experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficialEmployee Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packages available for both part and full-time employees!
