Position Title: Behavioral Health TherapistLocation: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Medical CenterRole & Department: Behavioral Health in the Behavioral Health ClinicHours & Shift: Part-time to Full-time (.5 to a 1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Role Responsibilities:The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing initial evaluations, individual, group, couples and/or family therapy at the clinicWill provide behavioral health counseling services and conduct patient assessment and establish therapy treatment goalsWill maintain thorough and confidential records of therapy sessionsTherapist will work collaboratively with the primary care providers on treatment plans in the ambulatory settingAct as advocates and help clients gain access to resources while confronting their personal issues, such as mental illness, addiction, and abuseWill assist other care coordination team members by providing behavioral health services to patients and their families in the outpatient setting to enhance psychosocial functioning and continuity of careProvides advocacy, information and referral services to patients and families to address their psychosocial needsProvides assistance with overall program development, community development, training, and education in this specialty areaParticipates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences to support organizational objectives and high-quality careConducts regular appointments with clients, including diagnostic assessments, therapy, and care management servicesWill establish a positive and trusting relationship with clientsWill continuously assess clients and re-evaluate treatment plans as appropriateWill refer clients to outside mental health support and/or agencies as appropriateWill maintain privacy and confidentiality of each client and their situationWill record, maintain, and sign documentation according to standards outlined by best patient practices in this specialtyWill manage client load and schedule, including appropriate correspondence and documentation to support excellent client careWill implement outlined rapid triage and assessment algorithms to provide clients with appropriate treatment plans, as is deemed necessaryQualifications:Requires a Master's degree as an MSWLCSW license required or in the process of obtainingMSW-APSW's will be consideredTwo years of experience providing clinical services in a mental health capacity is preferredTwo years' experience in individual and/or group therapy services preferredCandidates must have wonderful interpersonal skills and ability to work with patients, physicians, families, managers, and members of the community under varied conditionsExcellent organizational, critical-thinking, communication and conflict resolution skills requiredTolerance of stress and the ability to recognize your own limitations and respond to difficult situationsThe ability to apply your knowledge and research to clinical problemsThe capacity to be critical and analytical with patients when necessaryEmployee Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packages available for both part and full-time employees!
