Location: WaukeshaJob Type: PMs - 2nd ShiftWeekly Hours: 36 We Are Hiring: Surgical Technologist - Waukesha Memorial 0.9 FTE PMsSchedule: PM shift hours - 1300 - 2130 (extended shifts - 10's or 12's will be considered)Overnight call shifts: 1-2 per weekWeekend on call rotation: 1 every 6-7 weeksHoliday on call: 1-2 per yearIn a single day, staff from 4 specialty based teams work within 16 Operating Room Suites to handle as many as 40 cases ranging from Cardiothoracic, Neuro/Orthopedics/Dental, General/Vascular/ ENT, GYN, Urology, to Plastics surgery. Waukesha Memorial Hospitals Operating Rooms average 8,500 procedures annually including da Vinci Robotic procedures performed within more specialties routinely than any other facility in SE Wisconsin. Under the direct supervision of an RN or physician, you will facilitate a physician's performance of therapeutic, diagnostic, and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is safe, equipment is functioning, and patient safety is maximized throughout the procedure.Key Responsibilities:First Scrub: Prepare and maintain sterile fields, pass instruments, and anticipate needs during surgeries.Support: Act as second assisting technologist and contribute to all surgical case preparations (skin prep, sterile draping, etc.).Safety & Readiness: Ensure the operating room is safe, all equipment is functioning, and procedures are performed under the highest standards of aseptic technique.Learning & Growth: Meet ST II requirements, complete annual learning activities, and mentor new employees or students.Team Collaboration: Actively participate in performance improvement efforts and support department efficiency.Anticipation: Proactively address needs during cases and contribute to team success.What You Will Need:Education: Associate's Degree. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (CST) preferred or equivalent military training.Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital operating room setting.Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hireAST membership preferredExperience (or interest) in Orthopedics and Neurosurgery preferredProHealth Care is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to an inclusive work environment and values the perspectives of our people.
