Aspirus in Wausau, WI is seeking a System Director of Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing & Value Analysis to join the team! Working closely with the Vice President of Supply Chain, the System Director, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing and Value Analysis is responsible for optimizing all contracting, procurement and value analysis functions, processes and systems and is accountable for leading those activities for the entire health system. The System Director is chiefly accountable for the collaborative development, integration, implementation, and optimization of the Strategic Sourcing strategy for supply and purchased services as well as leading all activities related to processing purchase orders throughout the entire health system. This position is also accountable for the development and management of a system wide Value Analysis program to include timely coordination and complete execution of product contracting decisions, clinical review of product viability, and coordination with system, regional and local clinical teams and committees. The System Director performs all duties in a manner that promotes Aspirus' mission, values and philosophies. This position is accountable for taking strategic direction from the Vice President of Supply Chain and assess, plans, develops, executes and implements these strategies and tactics to achieve optimal financial performance, outstanding operational efficiency, supply chain leadership excellence, supports clinical superiority, promotes system standardization, and enhances the customer and patient experience. The System Director improves organizational capabilities, optimizes processes, builds teams and directs management and staff development. The position must establish and maintain effective working relationships with his/her executive leader as well as peer positions, other staff and leaders throughout the health system and other external business partners. The System Director must also develop and execute customer focused business plans and operational strategies that respond to the needs of those we serve. The individual in this position is expected to be an innovator who has the demonstrated ability to implement and execute a strategic plan and provide that direction to his/her subordinates. The incumbent in this position will also be tasked with addressing complex risks and situations and be responsible for minimizing such risks through consultation with the Vice President of Supply Chain as needed and necessary. Experience/Qualifications: - Knowledge of hospital management and policy administration, as well as development and implementation of budgets, financial strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree. Experience may be substituted for education in the absence of a formal degree.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years' of supply chain experience. Healthcare supply chain experience is highly desirable.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management from a professional organization such as Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute for Supply Management or Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) from Next Level Purchasing Organization or from a similar organization is highly preferred. In addition, a certification in lean or six sigma from a training provider accredited by either the Council for Six Sigma Certification or the International Association for Six Sigma Certification is also preferred.
