We are looking for a TIG Welder 2 to join our 100% EMPLOYEE-OWNED team.
Second Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am

    Minimum Job Requirements
    • Physical- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. safely or with assistance. Capable of performing manual labor for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Working Hours- Fulltime (40+ hours/week)
    • Personal Traits- Good communication skills with positive teamwork and safety attitude. Conscientious attention to detail and accuracy. Must possess desire to learn new skills and dedication for continuous improvement. Great work ethic including punctuality.

      Job Duties and Responsibilities
      Timely completion of job functions. Produce customer parts and products in accordance with the established safety, quality, and cost standards of the Company. Authority to drive company forklift if trained. Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.
      • Weld parts in conformance with specifications including quality system procedures and meet daily required production assignments.
      • Work independently with minimal assistance.
      • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
      • Understand the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
      • Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction by working with department supervisor and lead.
      • Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
      • Communicate accurately and effectively to other individuals in the department as well as other departments.
      • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
      • Audit of materials and/or production parts before delivery to next operation area.
      • Fully trained or trainable on welding all front frames and types of griddles.
      • Inspect and package all griddles
      • Replace welding torches and all consumables as needed.
      • Maintain neat and clean work area.
      • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

        Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
        • Must pass 18ga welding test cube.
        • Ability to safely set-up and operate TIG machine with no supervision for mild steel/ stainless steel and don proper PPE when required.
        • Possess basic math skills including ability to read and use tape measure and calipers.
        • Understanding of basic welding hazards with regards to UV light, high temperatures, and electrocution.
        • Must be able to weld all positions with filler on mild steel/ stainless steel.
        • Must have basic understanding of print reading. (Find tolerances and see dimensions)
        • Familiar with basic cutting and grinding tools common in welding and able to cut and weld repair steel parts as needed.

          Education and Experience
          • 1 year welding diploma or 2 years of TIG experience
