Manufacturing Integration Program Manager - Milwaukee Wisconsin

The Manufacturing Program Manager is a hands-on individual contributor role that will focus on strategic manufacturing projects across North America in the Industrial Powertrain Systems (IPS) Segment. The role will be responsible for driving manufacturing projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of global, strategic Commercial IPS initiatives. Projects will vary in complexity and involve operational optimization, 80/20 deployment, Lean/Six Sigma practices, cost savings, product line simplification (PLS), focused factories, or a hybrid of the above.The role will also actively support Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) initiatives to enable continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process, as well as elevate strategic sites to a 'center of excellence' and a destination of choice for external customers. Travel up to 25% to domestic and international Regal Rexnord facilities may be required.Primary Responsibilities - Manage, lead, and support large and/or complex manufacturing operations projects through the entire project lifecycle to a structured Stage Gate process. Including management of Regal Rexnord restructuring projects.
- Collaboratively work with the leadership team to assess the newly formed product and manufacturing portfolio and to create a vision and manufacturing strategy along with the supporting funnel of projects.
- Lead cross-workstream projects and drive alignment across various projects within the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) segment.
- Coordinate preparation for and facilitate IMO meetings - plan, schedule, host and document all working IMO sessions with internal project group and workstream PMs on regular cadence
- Manage and coordinate the Integration budget on behalf of the IMO - partner with Finance and the various workstreams to gather and finalize budget requirements
- Act as a sounding board across all workstreams to ensure appropriate connectivity where/when necessary - "connect the dots" across workstreams, ensure interdependencies are being managed, and escalate points of concern to the IMO
- Ensure program/project scope management is maintained (including the use of appropriate fact based analytics)
- Utilize a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and processes to implement best practices, and support IMO project goals with appropriate KPI deliverables.
- Design and deploy visual management to track project status and key metrics. Utilize multiple levels of planning and management tools to reinforce accountability and clarify individual ownership.
- Leverage planning and organizational skills to assign individual responsibilities, develop and monitor scope, budget, resources, schedules, and risk mitigation plans to deliver committed milestones.
- Develop and manage the overall project work breakdown structure and integrated master schedule to deliver projects on time, within budget and to scope. Recommend countermeasures to course correct off-track projects (schedule, budget, resources, scope).
- Develop critical path analysis and identify means to accelerate timelines, reduce cost, and/or mitigate risk. Challenge traditional methods of thinking to ensure the work is always structured in the most effective manner to achieve project goals utilizing effective and advanced manufacturing methodologies.
- Actively communicate and mitigate issues before they impact the project. Protect the critical path and when necessary, escalate with urgency to remove obstacles, evaluate move forward options using opportunity cost and business metrics, and lead the corrective actions.
- Guide project team to meet Stage Gate Exit commitment dates while ensuring adherence to Gate Exit Process, deliverable completion, and Gate Exit approval thresholds.
- Apply company's project framework for preparation of detailed project plans, facilitating team meetings, defining formal stage gates, and communicating project status to multiple levels of the Division organization.
- Support the development of Project Management Best Practices, process, and continuous improvement initiatives.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of program management experience with complex, cross-functional and multi-site teams in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must be able to independently lead, manage, and execute on all phases of a project life cycle, including: business case, project objectives and scope, budget, risks, timelines, constraints, and material scheduling.
- Prior experience developing multi-site manufacturing strategies and visions in order to meet business cost and growth objectives
- Prior experience with and knowledge of APQP, Design for Lean Six Sigma, waterfall and/or agile project management is required.
- Project management certification (PMP, PMI) is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with project management scheduling tools such MS Project is desired.Benefits
