Title Sales & Operations Intern Description Summer 2025 Internship Summary: The Sales Intern will focus on projects and company initiatives that are directly related to the Sales department. This individual works closely with their Mentor, the Sales Teams and our Customers to learn more about our Company, build their product knowledge and understand basic sales strategies. Our Sales Intern will develop their skills and knowledge in order to deliver customer solutions. This individual displays behaviors that support our culture, our 5 P's and our purpose to create lasting value for those we serve. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: - Job shadowing various roles and departments to learn about Van Meter
- Partner with Account Managers and Inside Sales to learn basic electrical industry and sale concepts
- Assist with oversight of projects from vendors, resolving customer problems, ensuring delivery of order
- Attend and participate in sales meetings
- Achieve a strong competency in all needed databases, tools, systems and processes
- Manage communication both internally and externally
- Perform assigned tasks as directed

Job Requirements/Specifications: - High School Graduate
- Currently enrolled in a College or University pursuing Associates or Bachelor's degree
- Considered a Leader
- Excellent ability to learn and implement new software packages quickly
- Proven people skills
- Able to commit to a set work schedule
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
